The Institute of Development Ltd, N. Charalambous and GrantXpert Consulting Ltd. recently hosted a delegate from ICEP Europe as part of the Train the Trainers Event and 3rd Transnational Project Meeting for the SUCCESS Project in Nicosia, Cyprus (14th – 19th January).
The objective of the SUCCESS project is to address current oversights in European formal education settings relating to the development of students’ social and emotional competencies, such as motivation, resilience, optimism and communication skills.
The Train the Trainers (TTT) Event consisted of a 35 hour training period across 5 days, wherein the individuals tasked with leading the piloting sessions in the participating countries were given the opportunity to familiarize themselves all four modules within the SUCCESS training programme, as well as best practices for the implementation of this module content. The TTT also acted as a forum within which feedback and comment could be offered in relation to how the SUCCESS training materials could be refined or improved.
The 3rd Transnational Project Meeting (Saturday, January 19th) centred around the provision of detailed guidance regarding the administrative and dissemination requirements expected of the partners, in addition to an in-depth discussion regarding the nature of the Online Training Platform that will be designed to host the SUCCESS training materials. The enthusiasm, diligence and cooperative attitude exhibited by each of the partners within the SUCCESS consortium ensured that all of the aims for the meeting were successfully achieved.
