Boleslaw Kozina, DCU/ICEP Europe Professional Certificate Graduate 2016
My name is Boleslaw Kozina, I come from Krakow, Poland. I live in Portmarnock in Dublin, Ireland. After leaving school in Poland I studied Philosophy in the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow. I then completed teaching qualifications in Jagiellonian University in Krakow and followed on to a Diploma in European Studies in University of Warsaw.
I was always interested in special education. When i moved to Ireland I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in secondary schools in North Dublin (Portmarnock and Donaghmede) mainly with students with ASD. I applied for the Professional Certificate in Special and Inclusive Education with ICEP Europe to expand my qualifications in special education.
The application process for the Professional Certificate course was very easy and simple. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and I found the content very engaging and enlightening. The tutors and fellow students in DCU were very nice and helpful.
Since 2016 I have been working as a teacher in an ASD unit. This is a wonderful experience and work that I love so much! Working in the ASD unit with students with special needs is something absolutely wonderful and amazing. I am grateful to ICEP Europe for helping me upskill in an area I love to work at my own convenience and in my own time. It made the course all the more enjoyable.
The next intake for this professional Certificate/Diploma programme, run in partnership with DCU, is September 2018. For full details and to apply click on 'University Programmes' at the top of the page.
